"Tell me,whatis it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?"
These words of poet Mary Oliver strike a cord with me. You see, I believe that you and I did not appear in this life by random chance. We are here to play a unique part in the ongoing circle of life. Whatever it is you plan to do, that path is already calling to you.
Question is, how do you find that path? How do you know where to go and what to do to have the most impact?
I’d like to offer you an app to help you find and stay the course. |

"Once upon a time there was a very rich country where everybody was happy…”
Like many cultures, the mythology of the American Dream started out
much like a fairy tale. Every culture has such a mythology: a mixture of
stories, symbols and beliefs that tell people where they come from,
where they are headed, and what they collectively believe in.
When
a country diverges from its original mythos or fails to revise that
mythos, it becomes irrelevant and the civilization may fall away.
History is filled with examples of empires that rose, abandoned their
founding principles or refused to revise them and ultimately fell,
becoming obsolete. |

Life usually rewards not those who dream big, but those who persevere
in actively pursuing their dream. They know that perseverance is the key
that realizes dreams. I’m sure you’ve seen these winners: they’re the
ones who stay focused, who take action daily to realize their dreams,
and who repeat that winning formula until the results show up.
What
is your dream? What is that one thing that would get you out of bed
with a spring in your step? What is the living legacy you want to leave
behind as a blazing trail for others to follow? |

Changing your Life From Within
The world you
create around you is a direct reflection of the value that you place on
yourself. Before you can have a different life; before you can be
happier, wiser, more at peace and empowered, you must first change from
within. Personal transformation is the outcome of changing your life
from within; ofbeingdifferent than you were before.
Beingis everything.
All
things on this planet - animated or not - are expressions of one great
Intelligence, Creative Source or Being. |

We are living at a time in history when deep fissures are dividing our
society over differences in politics, religion, economics,
environmental issues and social upheaval.
Dissention and separation run
everywhere, threatening to engulf our sense of a collective commons.
Instead of joining the dissenters, perhaps it is time for us to remember
the higher truth of our oneness. Wisdom traditions through the ages
have reminded us that we are not separate beings, but that we are part
of one collective. |

As I’ve researched ideas, principles and strategies for life’s
challenges through the years, I’ve come across five powerful words that
can transform life and make it worth living. These powerful words are
action verbs that refer to your innate power tochoose, learn, do, stay
and care. Together, they can transform your life!
1. Choose.
The first of these is your power to CHOOSE.
Those
in search of a good life usually do not need more information or more
time to think things over to reach better conclusions. |

Coping with the rapid pace of change is a subject I’ve written and
spoken about frequently in recent years. And it’s a theme that comes up
more and more in my kinesiology
practice, where I see increasing numbers of clients presenting with
disturbances of the throat and thyroid even as they attempt ways of
coping with change in their lives.
I usually find that beneath the
presenting symptoms of thyroid imbalance or anxiety, these clients feel
squeezed by the rapid pace of change
in their lives. |

Most of us have more dreams than we could possible realize in one
lifetime, and that’s a good thing. And yet, many folks never fully
realize their dreams: they don't have the vaguest clue about developing
the core ingredients for success; how to identify the best ones and
implement them to achieve success in a noisy and distraction-filled
world.
The lives of individuals today are more fragmented and
marked by more discontinuity than ever before. And yet, success is more
easily available than ever before, provided we focus on and align with
the core ingredients required for success. |

When was the last time you felt truly passionate about something? Felt good, right? And so it should!
Passion
is most evident when body, mind and spirit work together to create,
articulate or manifest feelings, ideas and values. It is the presence of
your soul combined with the totality of all you've experienced, and it
endows you with the power to live at optimal levels.
Simply
put, it's your natural state. When what you do is in alignment with who
you are, you gain energy from it. It's like water flowing along its
natural riverbed, gaining momentum from its course - unlike most
people’s work experience, which is more like trying to force water up
and over a mountain! |

Disasters and upheaval happen in every life.
You
may have been spared the trauma of earthquakes, random violence or war…
only to face work layoffs, mounting debt, or a devastating medical
diagnosis. Perhaps you feel stuck working at a job you hate but can’t
leave because of current market conditions, or you don’t know how to
change a seriously dysfunctional relationship.
When setbacks hit,
it is common to feel overwhelmed, helpless and scared. In fact, others
may tell you that you are overreacting; things are not all that bad. |
